Rimmel London Super Gel Nail Polish Review

We all know the issue. No time or money to go to a nail salon, but you still want your nails to look perfect for more than just one day. Well the answer is finally here! Rimmel created a two-step Super Gel, so we can reap the benefits of a gel manicure (long-lasting, shiny results) without the need for UV lamps and light curing.

This two step system is quick and easy - all you have to do is go over your nails with two coats of color, then finish it off with the top coat. Rimmel says it should provide "up to 14 days of gel colour and shine" with easy removal using your usual nail polish remover. There are 14 shades available in this collection, and eight of them have been designed by Kate Moss (you'll see 'Kate' on the bottle of her shades), but only six colours are available in duo packs.

The colors are very opaque with just one layer, but to get the best result I would recommend using two layers. After five days the polish started to chip but overall still looked great and vivid. Of course it would have been great if the Super Gel polish stayed perfect for 14 days, but to be honest I am already very pleased with 5 full days. Removal was very easy and my finger nails did not get stained afterwards.

The colors look gorgeous and I am definitely going to use these a lot this spring and upcoming summer. Rimmel Super Gel have been released this month and are now available online and in stores. The 20 colors and top coat are sold for € 7.99 each and the duo pack's are sold for € 11.99.
