Fall Beauty Product Recommendations

Fall is right around the corner girls! Therefore I've listed down some products and tips for the fall that will help you stand out beautifully and keep you ahead of the game. Are you ready to explore them? Let's do it!

To begin with I will talk about highlighters. If you have an oily skin I suggest using a powder highlighter. MAC pigment in Vanilla is actually a loose pigment but looks amazing when used as a highlighter. Same counts for KIKO Cosmetics Water Eyeshadow in 208, which is actually an eyeshadow but looks just like a dupe of the MAC Whisper Of Gilt Highlighter. NYX Born To Glow Liquid Illumiator (a cheaper dupe for Benefit High Beam Liquid Highlighter) is a liquid highlighter that is great for dry skin and gives the perfect dewy highlight look. It's also great to use for strobing and looks beautiful under or on top of your foundation. More expensive highlighters are NARS Albatross, Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick, Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Luminous Light, and Becca in Opal and Rose Gold for a strong, noticeable highlighter.

EXTRA TIP: Apply your highlighter to the temples of your forehead and connect it with your cheekbone highlighter to create the perfect strobing effect.

My favorite blushes at the moment are Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush in Soft Plum (I believe it's discontinued, still available online though), So Susan Cosmetics 8-Hour Cheek Stain in Sun Peach and NYX Cream Blush in Rose Petal. Cream blushes are great for people who barely have time to apply a full face of makeup. They are easy to use and you can build the color up or tone it down depending on how you feel. Definitely a must for all make-up bags!

EXTRA TIP: Ever ran out of blush or forgot to bring your blush with you? Use any satin or matte finish lipstick as blush, but stay away from shimmery or metallic lipsticks. To apply it simply use your clean fingers, your body temperature will warm up the product so applying becomes easier.

It’s important to create a certain balance with the rest of your makeup when choosing the right lipstick. When done badly, a lip color can wash out your features. So with extreme smokey eyes it is best to use a soft lip color, and when wearing a bold lip color apply soft makeup to your eyes. Also always exfoliate and moisturize your lips beforehand to create a smooth base and to prevent dry looking lips.

Wet N Wild Lipstick in Vamp It Up
Dior Lipstick in Black Tie
Kat Von D Everlasting Lipstick in Exorcism
L'Oréal Paris in Zoë's Red
Estée Lauder in Stronger
NYX High Voltage in Feline
Chanel in Pensive
NYX Cosmetics Soft Matte Lip Cream in Copenhagen
Charlotte Tilbury in Bond Girl
Rimmel in Cutting Edge
Maybelline in Blissful Berry

EXTRA TIP: Always line your lips with a lipliner that's closest to your lipstick shade when using a dark lip color to make it last longer.

Matte nails are fall it's biggest nail trend, so chances are you'll want to get your hands on a matte polish. To achieve this with any nail polish, you can buy a matte clear top coat which you can put over your regular nail polish in order to make it matte.

Revlon in Emerald City
Zoya in Charli
Zoya in Marnie
Yves Rocher in Ombre Pourpre
Barry M Matte in Espresso
Essie in Aruba Blue
Rimmel in Black Cherries
Zoya in Desiree

EXTRA TIP: Holding your nails under cold water before applying your nail polish helps them to dry faster.

I hope you enjoyed this post and are GLAM ready for this fall!
